Kentucky Wesleyan defeated Lake Erie 3-1 in the second round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Crossover Tournament in Aurora, Ill. on Saturday morning. The scores were 25-20, 25-27, 25-17, 25-21.
The Panthers (6-11) were led by Emily Harpenau with a game-high 17 kills, 18 digs and three service aces. Also tops for KWC were Ashley Clever and MaryBeth Ryan with seven kills and three blocks a piece. Jordan Rickert produced 40 assists, 10 digs and one block. Defensively, Morgan Watson had 14 digs and Rachel Morgan 13 digs.
KWC will play Michigan Tech on Saturday afternoon.
