KWC falls in overtime to Bellarmine

Bellarmine had five players score in double figures en route to an 80-77 overtime win over Kentucky Wesleyan in a women's basketball game Saturday at the Sportscenter.

KWC (3-3, 0-1 Great Lakes Valley Conference) led 32-29 at halftime.

The Panthers were led by Katie Behrens' 18 points and nine rebounds. Amanda Harnist had 16 points and nine boards.

KWC dominated the boards, 41-30, with 17 offensive rebounds. That helped offset a tough night from the field, as the Panthers made 25-of-62 shots (40 percent), including 3-of-14 3-pointers (21 percent).

Bellarmine (5-1, 1-1) was led by Kylie Brady's 19 points. Melissa Fitz added 18 points, and Brittany Edelan scored 14 with nine rebounds.

The Knights made 25-of-54 shots (46 percent) from the field, including 8-of-20 3-pointers (40 percent).

Both teams were solid at the foul line. KWC hit 24-of-29 shots (83 percent), and Bellarmine made 22-of-25 attempts (88 percent).
