Forty-eight Kentucky Wesleyan College student-athletes were named to the 2006 Great Lakes Valley Conference All-Academic Team. This marks the most honorees in KWC athletic history for one season.
The Panthers were led by the college's four-time honorees Elizabeth Bullock (tennis) a senior from Calhoun/McLean County High School; and Christina Machuca (soccer and softball) a senior from Evansville, Ind./Reitz Memorial HS.
Three-time selections include Erin Bradley (softball) a junior from Mayfield/Mayfield HS; Kerri Hess (softball) a junior from Hardinsburg/Breckinridge County HS; Derik Hultquist (soccer) a junior from Alcoa, Tenn./Alcoa HS; Margo Milligan (tennis) a junior from Hopkinsville/Hopkinsville HS; Michael Ruess (soccer) a junior from Clarksville, Tenn./Northeast HS; and Darren Wright (soccer) a senior from Nolensville, Tenn./John Overton HS.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must be a starter or significant substitute and the student-athlete has a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.25 or has attained a GPA of at least 3.4 in each of the preceding two semesters. Freshmen or first-year transfers must achieve a GPA of 3.4 or higher during the academic year.
