Adam Goetz Recognized with Great Midwest All-Conference Honors

FINDLAY, OhioAdam Goetz of the Kentucky Wesleyan College men's basketball team has been named to the Great Midwest All-Conference Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday evening. In total 22 players received post-season accolades with Goetz earning a spot on the Second Team.
 
Goetz started all 26 games this season, reaching double-figures in point 23 times. Seven times Goetz surpassed 20 points in a game, with his career-high of 25 being set on December 7th at Tiffin. He finished his first season with the Panthers by recording 400 points. Goetz led the team in scoring with 15.4 points per game. The shooting guard recorded 117 rebounds, 83 assists, and 17 steals. He also led Wesleyan with an .845 free-throw percentage and ranked second with a .424 three-point shooting percentage.
 
At the end of the regular season, Goetz was 15th in the G-MAC in points per game, fourth in three-point shooting percentage, fifth in made three-point baskets (74), and fifth in minutes played (866). He ranks 36th in the nation in three-point field goal percentage. Goetz also finished inside the nation's top-100 (86th) in made three points field goals (74).
 
The Panthers featured a roster with 14 new players in 2018-19 and finished the season 10-16 with an 8-12 mark in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
