She  averaged 14.7 point per game and grabbed 631 rebounds in her career for a 7.7 per game average. Martin held a field goal percentage of 58.8% and made 376 total free-throws.

Martin was the first women's player to reach the 1,000-career point mark, which was accomplished early in the 1981-82 season. Martin surpassed the 1,000 point barrier by 232 points by the end of her career. She is currently eighth on the program's career scoring list. Her rebound total ranks her sixth all-time in school history, which includes a single-game rebound record of 24. Martin's free-throw total makes her the career free-throw leader as well.

A graduate of Owensboro High School, Martin lives in Philpot with her husband, former Wesleyan baseball player Chuck Martin.
