The W Club will support the College's strategic initiative to ensure conference and regional competitiveness for the College's 17 intercollegiate athletic teams and help provide a superior athletic experience for the nearly 400 scholar-athletes who proudly don the Purple and White.
"This initiative is an important step in the growth of Kentucky Wesleyan athletics," stated Moore. "Our next step will be a complete overhaul of external operations to create a stronger sense of membership and elevate the engagement of our incredible alumni and fan base."
Additional objectives of the Panther Athletic Fund include increasing total dollars raised, adopting proactive corporate sponsorships to increase the Athletics Department's reach and effectiveness in the community, and strengthening the foundation of support to facilitate the rapid growth of Panther Athletics.
By joining the Panther Athletic Fund, alumni, parents and friends can support Wesleyan scholar-athletes as they pursue academic and athletic success. Annual support provides resources to enhance team travel, equipment needs and facility upgrades and improve the quality of the scholar-athlete experience. Membership in the Panther Athletic Fund will help ensure competitiveness in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) and in Division II athletics nationwide.
Gifts can be designated to a specific sport, or to the general athletics fund to support department-wide initiatives. Recent gifts to Panther Athletics have enabled completion of various projects, including renovation of locker rooms for six sports, equipment upgrades in the A.J. Smith Weight Room and the Mike Horn Hitting Facility, and additional enhancements to enrich the scholar-athlete experience.
Gifts to the W Club are tax-deductible and can be made in numerous ways. Visit the Methods of Giving page to learn more. Gifts can be made online at Give Online.
