OWENSBORO, Ky. –National Signing Day was a successful one for the Kentucky Wesleyan College football team. The Panthers added 15 players to the 2018 recruiting class as announced by Head Football Coach Brent Holsclaw on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The first wave of  the 2018 class consists of five commitments from Kentucky, five from Alabama, and three from Georgia. In addition, there are one player from Florida and Ohio respectively.

"Our coaching staff has worked tirelessly recruiting not just good football players, but scholar athletes that best exemplify the Wesleyan Way," commented Head Coach Brent Holsclaw. "This class has unlimited potential. Our first year in full Great Midwest Conference was an eye opener. With the veterans returning and the quality in this class, I strongly believe we can become a contender in this terrific Division II conference. I cannot wait for these guys to get on campus in August as we continue to grow our brotherhood and program. I cannot be more happy than I am today with the potential of this group. All the credit goes to the parents of these young men and our terrific coach staff."
 
The Wesleyan Coaching Staff hit the defensive side of the ball the hardest with 10 additions, including five linebackers and two to the defensive line. There are five commitments to the potent Panther offense with two being offensive lineman. Stay tuned and check back later for additions to the class of 2018.
