Kentucky Wesleyan lost twice to Lewis in Great Lakes Valley Conference softball action on Saturday afternoon at Foster Field.
Ashley Crooke went 3-for-3 with a RBI double for KWC as Lewis defeated the Panthers 9-1 in the first game on Saturday afternoon at Panther Park.
The Flyers opened with a home run in the top of the first before Crooke answered with her RBI in bottom of the first for a 1-1 tie. Lewis scored two in the third, four in the fourth and two in the sixth for the final results.
Katy Kruse added two hits and scored a run for KWC.
Ashlee Winstead produced two strikeouts in 3.1 innings for the loss.
Jordan Vertz closed the final 2.2 innings for KWC.

Kyli Smithson hit a RBI double scoring
Katy Kruse for a 1-0 lead at the end of the first. Lewis scored one in the third to tie at 1-1.
Meagan Salle hit a RBI single and
Angie Camp had a two-run RBI double to add three in the third for the 4-1 advantage. The Flyers came back with two in the fifth and four in the sixth to make it 7-4.
In the bottom of the seventh the Panthers started to rally as
Ashley Crooke hit a RBI single followed by Camp's third RBI single before falling short for the 7-6 loss.
Camp was 3-for-4 while Meny, Sallee and Sanders had two hits. Smithson collected two doubles and Sallee had one
Kayla Meny had two strikeouts in 4.1 innings. Vertz received the loss with four unearned runs and one strikeout. Winstead finished the final inning.
KWC (16-30, 11-23 GLVC) host Wisconsin-Parkside on Sunday for their final home games of the season. It will also be senior recognition day.
