Meagan Sallee hit a grand slam home run to lead Kentucky Wesleyan to a 4-2 win over Saint Joseph's in softball action at Foster Field in Owensboro on Saturday afternoon.
Sallee produced the four runs in the bottom of the fifth to forge a 4-0 Panther lead. Saint Joseph's bounced back with one run in the sixth and one in the seventh.
Ashlee Winstead earned her sixth win of the season by striking out seven in pitching a complete game.
In the second contest, the Panthers gave up 13 hits and nine runs to fall to Saint Jospeh's 9-3.
Sallee collected two hits while
Josalyn Ress produced two RBIs and
Ashley Crooke added one.
Jordan Vertz received the loss.
KWC (13-17, 10-10 GLVC) hosts No. 2 Indianapolis on Sunday at noon.
