Ashlee Winstead pitched a four-hit shutout to lead the Panthers to a 1-0 win over visiting Bellarmine in the first game of a Great Lakes Valley Conference doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.
Meagan Sallee hit a single to score
Katy Kruse in the bottom of the sixth inning for the game winner. Sallee collected three hits in as many at bats.
In the second contest, the Knights capitalized on throwing error to score and Madi Ratliff hit a two-run homer in the first inning to hold on to the 3-0 victory.
Five different Panthers recorded a hit in 24 plate appearances.
Jordan Vertz went the distance for the Panther and compiled five strikeouts in the loss.
KWC travels to Oakland City on Wednesday for a 3:30 CT doubleheader.
