Seven members of the Kentucky Wesleyan College football team have been selected to the Leadership Council for the 2010-11 academic year, as announced by eighth year head coach
Brent Holsclaw.
Chris Owen, a senior quarterback from Evansville, Ind. (Central HS) will serve as the President.
The rest of the Council include
Jasen Fairley, a senior defensive tackle from Collins Miss. (Collins HS/East Central CC);
Vincent Lalonde, a senior wide receiver from Royal Palm Beach, Fla. (Royal Palm Beach HS);
Charles Palmer, a junior running back from Louisville (Male HS);
Levi Ray, a junior offensive guard from Brandenburg, Ky. (Meade County HS);
Steven Smith, a senior defensive end from Indianapolis, Ind. (Lawrence North HS); and
Ken Stoklosa, a junior linebacker from Palos Hills, Ill. (St. Rita HS).
"The Leadership Council has been set up to help improve communications between the student-athletes and the coaching staff," said Holsclaw. "The Council will be modeled as the "Code of Champions and 10 Commandments" for this football team and family."
The Panthers open the 2010 season by hosting Indianapolis on Thursday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. CT.
