Kentucky Wesleyan Conference struggled at the plate in its softball doubleheader with Northern Kentucky on Wednesday.

The Panthers fell 6-0 and 14-1 at Foster Field.

In the opener, KWC (14-26, 9-14 Great Lakes Valley Conference) was led by Michelle Hatfield's 2-for-3 effort.

Suzy Gentili had the Panthers' only hit in the five-inning nightcap.

Gentili took the loss in the opener. Katy Kruse suffered the setback in the second contest.
