The Kentucky Wesleyan baseball team dropped a pair of games to open the 2010 season on Saturday in Arkadelphia, Ark.

In the opener, Central Missouri shut out the Panthers 3-0.

Bret Schwartz, Tyler Ruch and Frank Specht drove in runs for Central Missouri. Martin Brooks went five innings to notch the victory.

KWC's Chris Smith went 2-for-4.


In the nightcap, Wesleyan (0-2) was pounded 19-6 by Ouachita Baptist, which got three RBIs each from Justin Hall and Steve Mirizzi.

The Panthers were led by Scott Woodburn (2-for-2, RBI) and Jordan White, who drove in two runs.

KWC was victimized by seven errors on the day.
