KWC sweeps Rockhurst

Haleigh Ashworth turned in two strong outings on the mound to lead the Panthers to 2-0 and 3-1 wins at Loyola Park.

In the opener, Ashworth scattered four hits and KWC (18-22, 6-12 Great Lakes Valley Conference) finally broke through with two runs in the top of the ninth inning.

The Panthers used a three-run second inning to win the nightcap. Ashworth allowed eight hits with four strikeouts.
