Wesleyan splits two with GLVC foe Drury

The Kentucky Wesleyan College softball team earned a split against Drury on Monday at Thompson Field in Springfield, Mo.
The Panthers won the opener 8-1, then dropped the nightcap 6-0.
Haleigh Ashworth took the decision for the Panthers (19-23, 7-13 Great Lakes Valley Conference) in both contests. She scattered seven hits in the opener with 10 strikeouts and surrendered 13 hits in the second game, striking out five.
Ashworth also starred a the plate in the opener, going 4-for-4 with three runs batted in and two runs scored.
KWC's Mariel Hamer went 2-for-3 in the nightcap.
